Description

I would like you to meet our beautiful Maya. Our youth group sponsors this child. Each youth group student donates a dollar a week. It may not sound like much, but one dollar here equals eight dollars in Haiti. If we have thirty students and each gives a dollar we have $30 right? No, in Haiti we have given $240! You see, one American dollar equals eight dollars in Haiti! We love little Maya and feel at peace knowing she will be fed every day :)

I fell so bad, knowing I can't help people in need...Because of my age, my parents think I still have a lot of time to help them. I say that I know that but I always question me: "How are they doing? We are in crisis, but they barely have any food or clothes..."
By that, I promissed myself that, when I grow up, I'll travel around the world and help people, clean the world and do all I can to save not only people, but the entire world.

P.S.:What mostly shocks me about my family, is that they think:"She always thinks about animes and mangas. She should see the world as it really is."
I do see it. In Geography, on the TV and, last year, two girls who work (or study or whatever) for UNO, came to my shool and Taught us more than our parents could even imagine. They taught us how bad the world is not because of the "crisis", but because of children, women and many people who die. Why do they die? It isn't just because their countries are hot...It is because this world can have more assholes who don't help these people because of their skin color. I have a big friend of mine whose father is black and mother is white. I became her friend when we met. I hate racists. And this girl on the picture...You know what I think? She is beautiful as a little girl and I belive she will be an amazing and strong woman when she grows up.She will live happy with her family, she will have kids and she will have a good job that pays her enough. May everyone who is helping them continue.
